Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates is Pilates run as rehabilitation, with small numbers, reformer equipment and a program built around your body and what it needs right now.

A core-strengthening program that enhances posture, flexibility, and rehabilitation.

Who it suits

If any of these sound like you, it's worth a conversation.

  • You have back or neck pain that keeps coming back
  • You have been told your core is weak and want something specific to work on
  • You're pregnant or postnatal and want to train safely
  • You're returning from an injury and need controlled, low-load movement first
  • You want more supervision than a general class gives you
  • You want better balance and posture as you get older

What a session looks like

  1. Assessment first

Clinical Pilates starts with an individual assessment, which is what makes it clinical, and it's why the exercises you're given differ from the person next to you.

  2. On the equipment

Reformer work lets us take load off or add it precisely, so we can start well below body weight and build up, which matters when something is painful or newly healed.

  3. Progression

The program changes as you get stronger, and sessions stay small so someone is watching your technique the whole way through.
